Someone call the waaaa-mbulance! The weekend is almost over and I'm sad.
A new movie meme! Stolen from jackie, because she graciously provided it in a handy-dandy text box. :D

1. Name a movie that you have seen more than 10 times.
The Producers, Zoolander, Anchorman, and Super Troopers are the first ones that come to mind. They're my go to movies.

2. Name a movie that you've seen multiple times in the theater.
I saw X-Men 2 and HP & the CoS six times each. That's reeeeaaally sad, isn't it?

3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie.
Aaron Stanford, John Cusack, and Anna Faris...because I have the hots for all of them. XP

4. Name an actor that would make you less likely to see a movie.
Hmmmm...maybe Tom Cruise. But if a movie looks really good, he won't stop me. I would say Claire Danes; but just because I think she is a tramp doesn't mean I think she's a bad actress.

5. Name a movie that you can quote from.
Pretty much any movie I have ever liked! All listed in #1, Josie & the Pussycats, Just Friends, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Spaceballs...

6. Name a movie musical that you know all the lyrics to all the songs.
Hair, Rent, Chicago, The Producers...I LURVE musicals (except for Oklahoma!)

7. Name a movie that you have been known to sing along with.
see above :P

8. Name a movie that you would recommend everyone see.

9. Name a movie that you own.
but there are ever so many! I'll go with Beetlejuice, since I bought it this morning. I finally found it in widescreen!

10. Name an actor that launched his/her entertainment career in another medium but who has surprised you with his/her acting chops.
I can't think of any at the moment...but there's gotta be at least one

11. Have you ever seen a movie in a drive-in? If so, what?
Sadly no :(

12. Ever made out in a movie?
Again, sadly no XP

13. Name a movie that you keep meaning to see but just haven't gotten around to it.
I admit it, I really wanna see Blades of Glory. I love figure skating. I love Will Ferrell. Sounds like a golden combination.

14. Ever walked out of a movie?
Waterworld. Gawds, that one was painful!

15. Name a movie that made you cry in the theater.
What A Girl Wants...shut the fuck up.

16. Popcorn?
Not usually. Too expensive.

17. How often do you go to the movies (as opposed to renting them or watching them at home)?
I used to go all the time...but since my back problem started, it's too painful to sit for two hours unless it's really worth it.

18. What's the last movie you saw in the theater?

19. What's your favorite/preferred genre of movie?
Comedy or Horror

20. What's the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
The Little Mermaid

21. What movie do you wish you had never seen?
The Ring. Booooooring!

22. What is the weirdest movie you enjoyed?
Pretty much anything done by Cronenberg.

23. What is the scariest movie you've seen?
Not so scary now...but The Secret of NIMH scared the crap outta me as a kid. I mean, you have a child character dying of pneumonia, animals who were formerly lab rats, and a nearly omnipotent owl with a creepy house, and conspiracy to commit murder...that is some serious shit for a kid's movie!

24. What is the funniest movie you've seen?
Don't make me pick!!!! Uhhh...Saving Silverman?
Neil Diamond: You're the ones who've been sending me all those letters...and naked pictures!
Wayne: What?! We never sent you any na...*looks at JD* Dude!
JD: Sorry.

Went shopping with mi madre today. Went to Fred Meyer and got some DVDs (Beetlejuice, House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, and Airplane), which we're all under $10!!! Huzzah! And a book about Richard Ramirez (The Night Stalker). I know, I don't need any more true crime books, but I don't have any on him specifically. Oh, and toothpaste, but that's boring. We also went to Half Price Books. I was browsing the true crime section (as always), and one book said that Charles Manson was a serial killer. Excuse me? Ummm...noooooo. Does this author know absolutely nothing?!?! Yes, he was an egomaniacal madman. But not a serial killer. I wish I could find this author and do this to them. But I did get two trashy romances that sounded mildly entertaining,a novel about Mata Hari, and of course another Russian history book. This one is about spies for the KGB in American in the 1930s through the Cold War. Should be interesting.

We then walked (yay for excersise!) to Macy's, where my mom bought a small food processor and I drooled over the standing mixers. I have no space for it, nor the 300 buckos to spare for it...but gawds do I want one! My high school cooking class spoiled me. And then grocery shopping woohoo! :P But I got a two-pack of rice pudding, because I've never had it. It's pretty tasty. Better than tapioca. Ick!

Something I have learned from an MSN conversation with asiswellknown; be sure to specify what YouTube vid you are talking about when saying you "wish I could randomly do that to someone". Especially when one vid is "Dick in a Box" and the other is someone getting randomly slapped.

I thought Manson killed at least 4 people at the Polanski house?

Why is that boy all tied up?
We're playing house.
Roman Polanski's house.
Allee: gaspardSTFUlady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 04:59 am (UTC)
Nope. He ordered the hit, but never lifted a finger. He did rape some people though...all of them men I think...o.O

Hehehe...oh, Stewie.
·ɿɾ· Megan: Time for an emo songmiss_bushido on April 16th, 2007 02:21 pm (UTC)
Ohhhhh, ok. I've been under the misconception that he actually killed someone there, as opposed to having the rest of the family do his dirty work.

I feel like such a mediocre serial killer buff now. *Shame* I need to read some more of 'The Serial Killer Files' now.
Allee: legallyblondeemolady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 03:35 pm (UTC)
Aaaw! No worries! It is a very common misconception. Especially because morons like this write books when they obviously haven't studied at all! And even bigger morons publish these books. *seethes*

Tee hee at the icon! XD

OH MY STARS I must do this meme!! =D

3. Name an actor that would make you more inclined to see a movie.
Aaron Stanford

I loved your answers ^_^
Allee: aaronfangirllady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 05:43 am (UTC)
Yes! You MUST! Gotta love movie talk! :D

I can't think of any type of movie I wouldn't see if Aaron was in it. ^_^

And thank you! Glad I amused ya! XD
Pan: Claire & Peterjedipanchan on April 16th, 2007 05:38 am (UTC)
Oh man, I'm totally gonna nick that movie-meme! I love to talk about my favorite movies, lol. :P

Aw, I love shopping-days out with moms! Fun! :D

Ok, the fact that people still make Dick-in-a-Box references really tickles me. XD

Allee: perfectpairelady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 05:46 am (UTC)
Yay! Steal, steal!!!!

Of course they do! Dick-in-a-Box is fucking rad!!! XD
Pan: Weasley kissesjedipanchan on April 16th, 2007 05:51 am (UTC)
BTW, what other movies has Aaron been in?? I've only ever seen him in the X-movies, lol. *hangs head*

P.S. PAIRE ICON LOVVVVVE!!! They are sooo incredibly cute!! zomg I cannot WAIT for Heroes to be back on!! *flails*
Allee: perfectpairelady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 05:58 am (UTC)
Well, there most of his other movies are not big movies...so unless you are a stalker fangirl, like I am, you probably don't know them. The ones I've seen are Rick, The Hills Have Eyes, Winter Solstice, and Tadpole (my fave).

I now feel a picspam coming on...

ZOMG HEROES!!! I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pan: Scrubsjedipanchan on April 16th, 2007 06:47 am (UTC)
Hey now, The Hills Have Eyes is pretty well-known! I didn't see it, because I am chicken, and I heard it was waaaay freaky (or just plain messed up and disturbing). *shudders*

I think he actually looks cuter when he's not Pyro, based on your icons and picspam. Hmm.

I kinda love watching the Heroes reruns on the Sci-Fi channel, because I can be silly with them the second time around, ROFL! :P
Allee: sylarfangirlslady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 06:52 am (UTC)
Hehehe. I went back and added the word "most" when I added The Hills Have Eyes to the list. I was like, I can't believe I forgot The Hills Have Eyes! D'oh! And it says "There most" because I can only fix one stupid mistake at a time. XP

Pyro, douchebag (in Rick), cellphone sales men (THHE)...I would do him as anyone. LOL!

Oh, I love rewatching them by myself! Plenty of Sylar gushing with NO judgement! XD
Pan: Harry/Cedricjedipanchan on April 16th, 2007 07:18 am (UTC)
This is totally unrelated, but I see from my latest poll (lol, it was soo much fun to make) that you picked George/Oliver in the HP slash question! I obviously want Fred to myself and love him too much to slash him with anyone, but I kinda love the idea of George being a bit...bi-curious? And I've always loved the idea of Quidditch locker-room smut, so of course Oliver Wood was the obvious choice!

Where I'm going with this is, I feel like I kinda made up this pairing, since I can't find any fics with them anywhere!! Therefore, I must obviously write my own! XD I get the feeling it might end up kind of long (my computer spazzed out last year and ATE my 30 page work-in-progress fic about the Weasley twins, and I've been wanting to write another long fic with the twins...).

Anyway, where I'm going with this is, would you read a George/Oliver fic?? I feel better posting fics if I know I'm not the only one who likes the pairing, rofl! XD

*slinks away*
Allee: cedricKITHgaylady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 03:40 pm (UTC)
Usually when slashing Oliver, I like him paired with Percy. But while filling out your poll, I was in a George OR Oliver mood...so pairing them together seemed like a good idea. :D

While I usually read fics involving George with Luna, or maybeHermuone</i>; what I am attempting to get to, is yes. Yes, I would totally read your George/Oliver fic. :P
Pan: Weasley kissesjedipanchan on April 16th, 2007 06:13 pm (UTC)
Hmm, I had never thought of George/Luna before!! She's so nuts, she'd be a great match for a Weasley twin, lol!

Ya know, I think the fandom at large is a bit tough on Percy. Sure, he's kind of obnoxious and whatnot, and "disowning" his family was a bit much, but I think at heart he's a good kid. I really think he'll "redeem" himself in book 7. Anyway, I've read some Percy/Hermione fics, and I think they're surprisingly a good match! She's definitely more like Percy than Ron.

Anywho, glad to know that someone out there will read my odd-pairing HP smut, lol. XD

Allee: hotnerdygaspardlady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 06:31 pm (UTC)
OMG! George/Luna is sooo adorable! Love and Levity is like my favorite story with that pairing.

I adore Percy, which gets me a lot of persecution. :P I think it largely has to do with the fact that he is so uptight, and ruffling his feathers is a bit of a turn-on. *drools over flustered!Percy* Oh, I have definitely read and enjoyed some Percy/Hermione fics. But they seemed to have died off, which makes me sad.
Pan: Weasley kissesjedipanchan on April 16th, 2007 07:09 pm (UTC)
Oooh, I will definitly have to check out that fic later! I love all your fic-recs, lol. My roomie and I read that "Draco the Amazing bouncing Rat" one, and we just laughed nonstop (at about 2 in the morning, LOL!), it was fun.

Oh I know, Percy can be so adorable! Now that I'm re-reading the earlier books, I really like he and Penelope together (his girlfriend in the 2nd and 3rd books), she seemd to be a good influence on him, loosened him up a bit...But I just love whenever the twins do something to drive him nuts, it's great. :P I do kinda hate that just because of what happens in canon, the fics with him suddenly disappear...since when does the fadom care about canon?? Augh!

Speaking of the twins and Percy, I wrote a Weasley-centric X-mas fic a while back that's mostly about the twins being annoyed with Percy. If you haven't read it and you want to, it is over here. Sorry for the self-pimpage, lol. XD I feel like everyone missed that one, since I posted it so long after Christmas, rofl! Let me know if you like, hehe.

Allee: harrypartylady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 07:14 pm (UTC)
Glad you enjoyed 'em! I love in "Amazing Bouncing Rat" when they write the letter to the Weasley parents. "Seven kids? Mr. Weasley must be a Viking in the sack!" XD

One thing I totally forgot about Percy that my mom said. In Chamber of Secrets, he was the only one to notice something was off with Ginny. Yay for protective big brother Percy!

And I will definitely check that out! I am so effing bored! I mean, more than normal. And nothing wrong with self-pimpage when your stuff ROCKS!!!!!
Pan: Hufflepuff hugjedipanchan on April 16th, 2007 08:59 pm (UTC)
Hahaha, the Weasleys certainly are...erm...fertile. XD

Percy really is a better brother than he gets credit for! Remember in GOF, he was judging the 2nd task at the lake, and ran right over to Ron the second they came out of the water to see if he was ok?? That part was soo cute, he was like, tripping over things and knocking people over to get to Ron! Adorable!

And I kinda like that he's the "black sheep" of the family, it makes it more realistic. Since when does every sibling get along with every other sibling AND with the parents?? That never happens in real life, man! XD

Aw, I'm glad you like my stuffins! I'll definitely try to write more fics soon, before the finals crunch time sneaks up on me. I'll keep you posted, lol. ;D
Allee: slytherinpridepantieslady_lyca on April 16th, 2007 09:03 pm (UTC)
LOL! I am re-reading the fic I just recced you...and there is a brilliant line about Weasley fecundity. I wish I could remember it. So quote-worthy!

I forgot about that! Aaaaw! *luffs the Percy*

Indeed. I feel bad for Percy. No one gets him. I understand you, Percy!!!! XD

Huzzah! I need some Weasley goodness!
