You see your world on fire, Don't try to act surprised. We did just what you told us.
Saw 300 yesterday....HOLY CRAP! It was effing amazing!!!!!

Spartans were so bad ass! I mean, I knew that already from history class. But like when it was raining and everyone was all cheering, except for Leonidas. And when Stelios was just laughing at that Persian guy, and then chopping his arm off..WOW! They were fucking harsh! XD

Okay, when Leonidas tells the Hunchback, "Nice thrust." I just had to interject with, "THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!" I don't think the few other people in the theatre appreciated it...but there were two teens behind me who were even more annoying, so whatever.

Does Dominic West always play characters who can't keep his hands to himself? In Hannibal Rising (Inspector Popil) he kept pawing through everyone's shit. And now (Theron), he is assaulting the queen! *shakes head*

Speaking of 300, according to today's IMDb bit of trivia, during production on Her Majesty, Mrs. Brown, Gerard Butler saved a child from drowning in the River Tay. Aaaaw!

*gar* For some reason, there wasn't that much traffic this morning. So, I decided to swing into the grocery store for some peach oolong tea. But of course they were all out. Theeeen, they only have one line open. And the lady in front of me is like, "Snapple is only a dollar!" Okay, even though I am not one to say things in that situation, I can understand why she would say something. However...I just wanted to shout at her, "So it's 19 more cents!!!!! There is a huge line behind you, only one register open! And it's almost nine o'clock! I don't know about you; but some of us have to get to work! YOU FAT F***!!!!!!"

Yay! Blake was safe last night! But Sanjaya was also! o.O What the hell is wrong with some people?!?!?!

Augh! Online sudoku is making my head hurt. Why did I ever think I could do that?!

Oooh. My tape of Angus came in the mail yesterday! They need to put that movie on DVD. 'Tis amazing! *on Superman* You don't understand. He's smart, handsome, even decent. But he's not brave. No, listen to me. Superman is indestructible, and you can't be brave if you're indestructible. It's people like you and your mother. People who are different, and can be crushed and know it. Yet they keep on going out there every time.

Oooh, two vids!
A Goren/Eames partner vid
A Firefly/Serenity Tribute vid
I know, dreadfully off-topic. But they are so awesome, I had to share!

Okay, you're the first person outside of the Marines to say that 300 was good ... I might have to see it, since I quite trust your taste in movies. Hell, I should watch it for the shirtless guys anyway. XD
Allee: gaspardtielady_lyca on March 29th, 2007 06:34 pm (UTC)
I just like movies with stylized violence I guess. XD Like, I luuuurve Sin City (which was written by Frank Miller as well). And the director also did 2004's revisualization (I don't say remake because it definitely is not) Dawn of the Dead. And then there's anything Tarantino has ever done...I am not a chick I guess. LOL!

And yeah, even if you don't like these kinds of movies...hawt people abound!!! I quote someone on MySpace, "That movie was definitely for the ladies." XD
Deadpan Snarkererunamiryene on March 29th, 2007 06:50 pm (UTC)
I admit, I have to be in the mood for Tarantino, but I was very much in love with the Kill Bill movies (plus they had a fabulous soundtrack).

I can't say a word about "not being a chick" ... The Punisher is one of my favorite movies, closely followed by the (un-fucked with) Star Wars sextet and Boondock Saints. I tend to despise chick flicks, except for musicals. And City of Angels. XD

I know people have downloaded copies of 300 out here, I'll have to check it out. :D
Allee: younghanniballady_lyca on March 29th, 2007 07:03 pm (UTC)
Kill Bill movies...also awesome! Tarantino makes very good music choices in all his movies. Like, he chooses music to accentuate the tone of the scene, and not just some pop song. He makes his decisions very carefully.

That reminds me, I need to redownload "Bang Ban" by Nancy Sinatra!

i bought both soundtracks when they came out, and actually spent a week learning all the japanese to "Uremi Bushi" (I KNOW I butchered that, but I'm really being lazy right now and not looking it up). I really should have ripped those to my computer before I left. *sigh*

Hehehe...that reminds me of my Spanish 2 class, where we had to learn these two songs in Spanish...such crappy songs! And I don't remember the real words, so I just sing along phonetically now. As I do with the Numa Numa song. XP

Thanks christ for LimeWire!

asadahgsahaga Gerard Butler is a hunk and a half!! Gawd, I love him. And he's such a sweetie, despite the manly-man-ness. GUH!

And how adooooorable is Faramir, for serious?!?! I lurve him.

And all this time I thought you had already seen 300!! XD Silly me. I might go see it this Saturday with all the girls so we can drool together.

I also really rather enjoyed the sex scene, lol. I really liked how they did the quick "WE'VE SUMMED UP EACH PARAGRAPH INTO SINGLE SENTENCES FOR YOU :D" sex scene as opposed to a Trinity/Neo visually rambling sort of thing. XD

The first time I was it was with a bunch of dudes (my boyfriend included) and all I could think during the sex scene was "DAMN KING GERARD IS GOOD!!" while I fanned myself, ROFL!!
Allee: dwightjedilady_lyca on March 29th, 2007 06:56 pm (UTC)
I know. I was so sad I didn't get to see it until now. But I wanna go again!!!! XD

I was like, "I've seen the narrarator before! But where!?!?!?" And then it hit me when I was falling asleep last night. "FARAMIR!!!! Sean Bean's bro in LOTR!!!"

Dude, that scene was hawt!!!!

And Gerard is good. Damn good. XD
Pan: Weasley kissesjedipanchan on March 29th, 2007 07:05 pm (UTC)
Hehe, I recognize Faramir right away in the trailers, but I didn't realize he had such a good role! I thought he was just another of the soldiers! Oh Faramir, how I love thee. He is such a cutie, definitely my favorite of the Gondor Brothers (do only hobbits get last names in LOTR?? It kinda seems that way...).

XD I loved that Gerard was just kinda...walking around naked for a bit. GRATUITOUS BUTT-IN-THE-MOONLIGHT SHOT!!! YES!!

Allee: sylarfangirlslady_lyca on March 29th, 2007 07:11 pm (UTC)
Sorry, Sean Bean will always have my eternal allegiance. Ever since he went on Rosie's show (back before she was a total bitch) to promote the first LOTR, and they talked about his butt. Such a nice one *siiigh*

If it's a movie about ancient warriors, ya gotta have to obligatory butt shot!
Pan: Pippinjedipanchan on March 29th, 2007 07:30 pm (UTC)
Not that I don't love Sean Bean, but I can't help but laugh everytime I see him in anything now, and make "blow the Horn of Gondor" jokes, lol! :P

Also, every time I see his name I automatically pronounce it SEEN so it rhymes with BEAN. I just...can NOT actually pronounce it "Shawn," because SEEN BEAN has such a nice ring to it. XD

I do love Boromir though, but Faramir's story just broke my heart, especially in the extended versions. Ohhh Faramir, I just wanna cuddle him!
Allee: lupinrocklady_lyca on March 29th, 2007 07:36 pm (UTC)
"Blow the horn"...*giggles uncontrollably*

It was actually spelled "Shawn" originally, but he changed it when he got into films. At least, I think I heard him say that somewhere. It could have all just been part of some kooky Sean Bean dream...

Don't really know much about his character. Or anyone's characters...I personally hate LOTR (books and movies). But that's just me, no offense meant. At least the movies have hawt menz.
Pan: Diagnosis- Lamejedipanchan on March 29th, 2007 07:45 pm (UTC)
Heh heh, I can see why people can hate the books, since they're sooooooo long and tough to read, but Return of the King was like the best book I've ever read (and I read a lot, lol).

The movies are really entertaining, but after the first few "serious" viewings, my friends and I could no longer take them seriously and just made pervy jokes the whole time, LOL!!

Although, RotK makes me weep every time I see it. :(

Also, Aragorn/Legolas OTP!!

They were soooo gay in the movies, seriously!

*Legolas steps out, wearing bridal white and a coy smile. He and Aragorn gaze into one another's eyes.*
Legolas: Are you ready to kiss your bride, my lord?
Aragorn: Heck yeah. Come here, you.
*Legolas steps aside and lets Arwen in*
Aragorn: Oh! Arwen! Right. Wow, hi. Heh. Uh - come here, you...
Allee: jimdwightgaycouplelady_lyca on March 29th, 2007 07:48 pm (UTC)
I just defer to Randal in Clerks II.

"When Frito wakes up from his coma or whatever, and Sam leans in the doorway and gives him that very fucking gay look...I expected Sam to tell the other little hobbits to take a walk, so he could saunter over to Frodo and suck his fucking cock...And then, right before the credits roll, Sam fucking flat out bricks in Frodo's mouth."

I thought that very same thing, even before Randal. Well, maybe not those exact thoughs, but you get the idea. XD
Pan: Sayid triangulatejedipanchan on March 29th, 2007 07:56 pm (UTC)
Hahahahaa, I know, Sam and Frodo are soo gay for each other!! XD

SAM: It's a shame. Now I'll never get to marry Rosie Cotton.
FRODO: YOU want to marry a girl? Really?
SAM: Why is that so hard to believe?
FRODO: It's just - er - well - you know, I think I must have misinterpreted several things you've said over the past couple decades, Sam. Forgive me.
SAM: No matter. Could you hold me in your arms before we die, sir?
FRODO: See - like that statement, right there. Oh, who cares...

Sounds like it was taking directly from Tolkein himself.

Online sudoku??? you like torture?? ;P

More videos to watch, no sound to enjoy :(

and random note, i need to decide about which movie i´ll see this year in the theater.

Allee: pinkspringlady_lyca on March 30th, 2007 05:49 am (UTC)
Well, after about five minutes, that window was closed. I have no idea what I was thinking!! XP

I'm sorry. I think the right side of my speakers died, if that makes you feel better. But I have a laptop, so they're built in. And I'm afraid I won't be able to do anything about it. Damn my need to listen to things loudly!
ww_sb_xfww_sb_xf on March 30th, 2007 06:14 am (UTC)
maybe momentary lapsus! :D

a little ;P anyway, i think by mid april i´ll have a computer of this century, so my days of no sound will be over.

My siblings listen things loudly! I´m always turning up and down the volume.
