Buckets of rain, buckets of tears, Got all them buckets comin' out of my ears
Well, my little corner of the world is in the news. Woke up to CNN, and right across the screen, "Washington Flooding".

Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink

Luckily, I live in the one sliver of land that doesn't flood. There is urban flooding in downtown Seattle (not threatening, just MAJORLY inconviencing), and then there is the rural flooding; which is horrible. Never thought I would be so glad to live in the suburbs. But we do have a shop in Monroe, and a lot of our drivers live out there. We get a call at our house around 1 A.M. And of course, I panic; because I think one of my grandparents has died or something, because the only people who would call that late would be my friends, and they know to call my cell. But it is my boss Tom. He had to go check out the shop, and help one of the drivers move trucks before they closed all the roads. Why he called my dad, I have no clue. Why he didn't call my dad's cell...*gar* So, Tom is cranky because he hasn't slept all night; which I can understand. But now my dad is cranky too...and I don't know exactly why; so I am walking on eggshells. But my dad left for an appointment, and Tom left to go sleep I guess; so I am all by lonesome for a little while. *phew* Today is gonna suck. I can already tell. Thank gawd I bought some malt liquor at the store yesterday. The six pack of Bacardi peach will be gone tonight.

So, I got my mom two pairs of gloves (red and camel), and scarf (red, black, and camel plaid), and a camel colored hat for her birthday yesterday. And she really liked them, so yay! Macy's was having a sale on all that stuff, so I got a black hat and a pair of black gloves for myself. I already have a Slytherin scarf, and black should go with green and silver. :D I love that hat. I love hats. I can never say no to a new hat. And this one is actually a little too big. And since hats are usually too small for my giant head, I am giddy about this.

Oh my gosh, I got a note from a lady on the EJami message board I post on asking if I was dry. That is so sweet! Not dry though, just mildly damp. And thank gawd there wasn't snow (or at least a lot of it) in the mountains...because then this would get even worse. Winter, well the Seattle version of it, is really here. I had to drive home from work with my headlights on yesterday...it was 3 in the afternoon.

They had a sale on Holiday teas at Fred Meyer yesterday (2 for $4!!!!!!!!!), so I made sure to stock up. And I bought a new kind of soap, I like to expirement with scents, and it is honey and it smells soooo good.

P.S. jackie, gimme an officer position you want for that Facebook group. For example, mine is "Wants to hire a hitman to make sure Cillian Murphy's wife has an 'accident'".

P.P.S. AWKWARD! So Tom left to sleep I guess. But now a guy just walked in and said he has a meeting with him at 10!!!!! *GARRR* So I called Tom's cell and left a voicemail. But now I don't know what to do or say...so I am trying to look official and hardworking by typing all this. "I am busy and very important". *GARRR* To quote Chris Griffin from Family Guy, "Oh, I'm so awkward!!!!!"

OK, got a hold of Tom, and he's not coming back. They are closing the highway to his house today, so he is gonna be there for awhile I guess. But the guy gave me his card and all is well. For now......

Okleed doklee, Jackie-bean. I mean, what fun is being in a club without spiffy officer positions?
Jackiejackie on November 7th, 2006 07:39 pm (UTC)
That's what I'm sayin. In MaLuFaClu (the official Matt Lucas Fan Club - a guy @ Truman), we all have special positions. :D

I think he and Yvonne (yes, I know the name of the woman who stole him away from us) have a little boy.

Obsession is where it's at! All the cool fangirls are doing it.

P.S. Sorry for the re-post, but I totally messed up on the coding last time :P
