Movin' fast, doin' 95, Hit top speed but I'm still movin' much too slow. I feel so good.
Bah. It's Monday again. But it was declared "Aaron's Grin Day" over at bale_eckhart, so that definitely makes it better. ^_^ Aaaaand I get my car back from the shop today! Yay! I've missed the Batmobile.

Today's the 10th, but since I didn't have a car, Vicki just went to corporate to mail my checks for me, which was nice. And she filed for me, which is what I was going to drive up there tomorrow to do. But, she was kind of a snatchface about all this today. She came over the intercom and in a very condescending tone said, "If I am ever going to do this for you again, you have to put the remittance stubs with the bills they go to, not put them all together. Otherwise I have to guess." Okay, sooooory. But up until Friday afternoon, I thought I was going to corporate, and I know what each things go to (they're all in alphabetical order, it's not that hard). And secondly, you do not need to use that kind of tone. You are not my boss or even my higher up, you have no right. You could ask nicely, rather than demand. And last of all, whenever my dad or I do things like this for you, we don't say a word. Like when you want us to do your mail, your envelopes are always all stuck together and we fix it without rubbing your nose in it.

Fucking office politics. *le sigh* At least I get tomorrow off! =DDD YAY!

Last week was my mom's birthday, so I spent Saturday over the folks' house. We watched The Office (like always), and Real Time with Bill Maher. And then my dad came in and we watched Dude, Where's My Car. Shut up, I like that movie! XDDDD Today when my dad handed me some stuff to be enveloped, he said "Envelop time", and I replied "Aaaaw! I thought it was stoner bashing time!" LOL! I like that my parents sometimes like movies like that. Like, I think Bad Santa is in my mom's top ten holiday movies.

Sunday John and I went and saw Role Models. Okay, this was even better than I thought it would be. Fucking hilarious, and also a little bit heartfelt. Although, "Detroit Rock City" has been stuck in my head ever since, not that is a terrible thing. Also, I really want a plate that says "Martin is gay for robots" in my kitchen now.

And to cheer me up about the fact that tickets to Repo! are sold out, here is a clip from Role Models.

P.S. Yay for Heroes tonight! And for the awesomeness that was last week's SGA (see icon). =D

I thought Role Models was hilarious, also. I haven't laughed that much at a movie in a long time. (It helps that Paul Rudd is absolutely adorable. ♥)
Allee: fishnightlightslady_lyca on November 11th, 2008 01:30 am (UTC)
Paul Rudd, hot in Clueless and even sexier today! XD I thought they were all pretty adorable. The way Augie kept giggling about the "Whispering Eye" made me want to give him a big hug. I mean, I LOLed too, but there was a definite need for huggles. ^_^

Haha I LOVED Role Models so much!! The end was effing EPIC!!!! I want Paul Rudd and Chester (heh) to always dress like members of Kiss, they automatically got like, 10 times hotter!! :D

Allee: geekslady_lyca on November 11th, 2008 01:46 am (UTC)
INORITE?!?! I was so sad that I couldn't find a clip of when they crashed the L.A.I.R.E. battle with that big ass truck. Well, it only opened this weekend. ^_^

Hehehe. Chester. XD But yeah, Kiss make-up was way sexier than it should've been on them.

Oh man! L.A.I.R.E. type stuf really exists, I forget what it's called, but I have some family and some friends who do it, lol. I've always been curious about it.

OH MAN! The make + REALLY TIGHT PANTS and that vest *drools* hahaha!
Allee: littlemisssunshinefangirllady_lyca on November 11th, 2008 01:52 am (UTC)
I LOLed at the L.A.I.R.E. peeps, but then John reminded me that I would soon be joinging a D&D group. *blush* But he plays WoW all the time, so he can't really judge. I would draw the line at someone feeding me, like The King when they were in The Burger Hole. "Nothing says royalty like The Burger Hole".

Okay, need screencaps. NOW. Need them in Kiss regalia for my desktop.

Oh man D&D FTW!!! I'm actually going to my friends house in a few hours for our weekly game! I'm a tiefling Warlord (3rd level - we haven't been playing TOO long) and her name's Drucilla! Tieflings are the best b/c they're the closest you can get to Vamps in D&D - they're a non-human race whose human ancestors made a bargain with devils to increase their power.

It's SO FUN!!! You're going to love it!

Allee: geekslady_lyca on November 11th, 2008 02:04 am (UTC)
Oh, sweeeeet! Yeah, I know nothing about D&D, so my friend Laura and her friend Jeff said we could run some practice stuff, and then I'll join when they start the new demo. Or whatever. :P I just want to play!!!! And what's really sad is, I am looking forward to the male component, Laura and I will be the only girls. I've met a couple of Jeff's friends, and they are not completely unfortunate looking. ;D

OMG! That gnome was so cute! The gnome was the little green guy right?
Obsidian Raven McBovril: sg1 | incoming wormholetelltale on November 11th, 2008 02:11 am (UTC)
Yeah I play with 4 other guys - but they're all 30something and married. :( But after we finish this quest they want to try another RP game and that makes me sad b/c I wanna keep playing! So idk what to do, haha.

But I must say - even though all the guys I play with are older and married, I love playing with them because they totally get all my geek jokes. Like, on this one encounter, there was this thing on the ground that looked like a Stargate, so I said "Incoming wormhole!" and they laughed. and then later on I said something like "Lets use the stargate" and one of them said "Only if I can be Daniel!" haha- I was like !!! because I have NO geek friends here.

Yeah!! The gnome was the green guy! hehe <3

Aaaw! Those fudruckers!

These people are nerds, but I don't know if they like Stargate or not. I know Laura has never seen it. At Halloween, when John said he didn't like Firefly (I know, I know), Laura replied "Come on! It's not like Stargate or something!" At which John, Katie, and I gasped in offense. She then went on to say, "Okay, not like Star Trek!", at which John and I were pissed. Scott, Laura's boyfriend stopped her before she dug herself an even deeper grave. XD I really hope there is at least one guy in there who likes it. Please, let me find my Rodney McKay! LOL!

LOL OH MY GOD THAT MOVIE LOOKS HILARIOUS. Plus I've been in love with Seann William Scott since his American Pie days, so, man, this relationship has gone on for a very long time now. Paul Rudd's adorable too.
Allee: pyrosexlady_lyca on November 11th, 2008 02:32 am (UTC)
Indeed! Steve Stifler is still a god among men, as far as I'm concerned. XD

And yeah, you NEED to see this. Not only because it's funny. But because there are some parts where Seann isn't wearing all of his clothes. Very, very nice.
Iris: kelly stereophonicsleepall_day on November 11th, 2008 02:38 am (UTC)
OMGYAY. AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Awww, I love him so muchhhh. Seriously. I was so young and impressionable when I saw American Pie, and he was just the most outrageous character and I loved him. :P Hee. He was shirtless a few times in those movies too though!

and... where else, I can't really remember. Possibly Road Trip.
Allee: blairserenaBFFlady_lyca on November 11th, 2008 06:39 am (UTC)
I own the first three American Pie movies on DVD, so no judgement. ;)

He was in Dude, Where's My Car! =D

I haven't seen Role Models yet...all the comedies I want to see re going to be trumped by the new Bond on Friday. :(( Why are movies so expensiiiiive???

Did you see Paul Rudd on Daily Show tonight?? SO CUTTTTTE. <333

ALSO, I shall spaz about Heroes tomorrow, because we always talk forever about it and I am le tired.

Allee: li'l noah & gabriellady_lyca on November 11th, 2008 06:42 am (UTC)
I know! It's crazy! True I didn't have to splurge on snacks too, but they looked so good! :P

I missed it! But I've been meaning to watch the clip online somewhere. Hopefully I'll remember when I wake in the morning.

Seriously, Heroes needs a lot of time to be talked about properly! SO MUCH!!!!1!111! Lemme just say, seeing Sylar kill that emo (definitely not cool enough to be a goth)...I wasn't too unhappy about it. XP
