The 7 Day Sharing Meme
•Day 05: a youtube clip

I was iffy on this show at first. I started watching for Joel McHale. But it has really grown on me, and I love it. I try not to give up on shows before at least 5 episodes, and I am so glad I did that here. It's just so charming. Warning, watching this may get it stuck in your head. Also, anyone else ship Jeff/Annie? Don't beat me with sticks if you don't! :\

The week meme so far and what's coming up )

For one month, post/share:

"I happen to have MARRIED THAT PLASTIC FUCK DOLL!" -- Beerfest
Okay, not my favorite quote. But it's one I've been saying a lot lately. XD I decided to post this one because I reeeeally wish I could make it my Facebook status. But now I have a few family members friended on there, and I say/post some innapropriate things already. :P
The month meme so far and what's coming up )

Yay! My Liz Lemon hoodie came in the mail yesterday! Want to wear now.

Boo. Tom went to corporate and didn't pick up the paychecks, so I won't see mine until Monday at the earliest. Looks like I will be dipping further into the emergency cash my parents left. I mean, I think it a check week... I've been so out of it lately. @_@

ETA: Nevermind!!!! Tom did bring the checks. He just hid them very well, since we're not officially supposed to get them until tomorrow. XD Mood changed from "disappointed" to "pleased".

→ Don't change your wallpaper before doing this! The point is to see what you had on!

Part 1: Work Wallpaper

Click to make it bigger.

1. Torchwood is just one of my current fandom obsessions.
2. It's a general CoE wallpaper, not just Jack or Ianto. Therefore it hides my fangirliness a little.
3. It may be general, but it still has some pretty people in it.
4. I need the schmexiness to get me through work.
5. IT'S FUCKING TORCHWOOD, AND TORCHWOOD IS AWESOME!!!!

So I did have the entry for the second day in Notepad. Buuuuut, our power went out last night, and Malcolm shut himself down. Plus, I was an idiot and hadn't saved it yet. When I power Malcolm back on tonight, we'll see if it was saved or not. *crosses fingers*

I'll also post Malcolm's desktop as well. :)

Yay! Star Trek comes out today! So, that's what I'll be doing tonight. XD And probably re-watch Lie To Me. Loker looked waaaaay too hot in that geeky sweater. I wanted to tear it right off. What? XD First it was Colin Firth's plaid swimming shorts in Mamma Mia!, and now this... Fandom is seriously giving me some weird ass fetishes.

Also, Lady GaGa was on Gossip Girl last night. And was amazing!!!! And seeing as Dan/Blair is my not so secret ship, I was pleased with all their interaction. Oh hell, I just want everyone to hook up with everyone. :P

Bah. Back to work.

How awesome was 30 Rock last night?!?! More Will Arnett! I demand it! And I won't say anything spoiler-y, buuuuut...if they DON'T want me to ship Jack/Liz, they need to stop having little moments like that! XD

This week's [info]fannish5
Who are your 5 favorite non-humanoid characters?
The Bots; MST3K: While I do have a favorite, I still had to include all of them on this list. :)

Binks; Hocus Pocus: I know he was at one time a human, but I think he should count. Plus Jason Marsden did the voice, be still my 8 year old fangirl heart!

Spiderpig; The Simpsons: AKA Harry Plopper.

Frog; The 10th Kingdom: "You can't touch me there! Only my girlfriend touches me there!"

Colin - Spaced: Do NOT call him Lancelot, that's a deal breaker.

And here's a [info]fannish5 from awhile back that I've been meaning to post...
Name your five favorite fictional kids.
Tran; Tropic Thunder - This kid is bona fide badass!

Dean and Hank Venture; The Venture Brothers - Like in the last list, I have a favorite; but they need to stay together here. :)

Tommy Solomon; 3rd Rock from the Sun - So he's technically older than everyone else in the family, but that's part of his charm.

Maggie Simpson; The Simpsons - Another bona fide badass. This kid saved Homer from the mob and Russ Cargill, wasn't afraid to take on Mr. Teeny...

Christophe (The Mole); South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut - "What do you think this is, kid!? TV kiddy hour where we all sit around and lick Barney the dinosaur's fucking pussy?! Huh?! This is real life with consequences you take to ze grave!"

Now I gotta go do some more laundry. *thumbs down* :P

I had to work late the past two days, and today was the longest fucking day ever! I should've known when half of my bagel fell cream cheese side down on the floor that it was not gonna be the greatest day. :P

But tonight was Jim and Pam's wedding! I'm surprised LJ hasn't exploded with people talking about it!

Random ass thoughts )

30 Rock is back next week!!! Yay! I've been singing "Night Cheese" all day for some reason. XD And I am very much pleased by the amount of Will Arnett in the promos. ^_^

Tomorrow afternoon I am meeting with a surgeon about my back. It's just a consultation, I'll probably have to get another round of MRIs before anything happens, but I am hopeful. Plus, he's the surgeon who spoke at that seminar I went to, and is pretty cute. XD But that night...Cannibal the Musical and various other fun times with [info]treerad!!! Great ending to a looooong week. =D

ETA: The Backstreet Boys are on Conan. I hate to say it, I am still kind of digging them. I might have to download this song soon. You can take the fangirl out of middle school, but you can't take the middle school out of the fangirl.

So I suck at posting. And I even said I would post Porcupine Tree stuff, just so if I had nothing really interesting to say I would have something. I fail. XP

But I've been busy fangirling. Yes, more Inglourious Basterds, but also Torchwood. Yes, I have finally gotten into it. Lauren came over last Saturday and we watched the entire first season in one day. It was fucking epic. Good TV, and pigging out on chips (french onion dip is my current addiction), cookies, etc. I made this iced tea. I used a berry blend tea (I couldn't find straight blackberry WTF?), and it turned out really well.

Lauren and I are doing season 2 on Friday. I've actually already started, but I'll watch them again! And she watched the whole series without me, when we had said we were gonna marathon it. So I don't feel bad. :P Also, it's probably good that I did. James Marsters showing up in the first episode AND making a Star Wars joke totally made me jizz in my pants. XD LOL! My mom has Children of Earth on her DVR downstairs, so I don't have to buy it right away. I don't even know why she recorded it, since she doesn't watch the show...but I'm not going to question it. ^_^ Maybe I can get her into it.

Also, I've been making a ton of smoothies since my mom finally unpacked our blender. And I've been having homemade chocolate banana milkshakes the past couple days. So good.

Okay, here is Porcupine Tree performing "Lazarus" live. I can't believe the concert is next Tuesday!!! =D

Hmmm... Milkshake before or after a nap?

I am almost finished with my Halloween fanmix. I need to double check to see if a couple of the songs are done by the artists I think they are and try and find (or decipher for myself) lyrics to some lesser known songs. And I can't decide if I want to post it by Thursday, or wait til it's closer to Halloween. Blergh. :P I was going to do a plain Autumn fanmix as well. But there are already so many, and they're a lot better than anything I was planning. Maybe next year. :)

BIG HUGS FOR EVERYONE!!!!1!111! =DDDD

Bah, work is sooooo slow. Stupid economy. Not that I particularly like being busy or anything. I just have to look busy, which is no fun. I wish I could read or something. I have The Shining (which I got for $1.68 at Half Price Books :)) in my purse. But I don't think that would fly. So I guess fan fiction and FreeCell it is. :P Speaking of books though, I haven't read a romance novel (other than Nora Roberts) in over a year. But last week I just got such a desire to read one or two. So I ordered Lord of Danger by Anne Stuart (mainly because the male lead was named Simon, so I of course totally pictured Sean Maher throughout the whole book and also because the heroine is described as a little plain, like myself) and Lord of Fire by Gaelen Foley. I've finished Danger. It was all right for a romance. I'll keep it, and probably read it again. I've just started Fire, and so far I like it. I mean, the male lead is named Lucien, so badass! XP

I walked to the store yesterday. It's only three or four blocks away, with only one tiny (but steep) hill, but I usually drive. Even though I ate total shit the past two weeks, I still have kept some weight off. And I really want to keep it going. Of course I will be tempted by Halloween candy, and will give in. But I am going to try and take a walk (even if it's short) every other day, and only drive to the store if I am buying heavy things (like stocking up on milk).

I see the future so bright & clear, A word of love in my ear, I am lost in time
Last Friday I went out with [info]downloadable08 and some of her friends to see her cousin's band. They're called Candy Apple Blonde, and I think they are on MySpace, so check 'em out! :] After that we went with Ryan and his friend to a karaoke bar. Also great fun. I swear one of these days, I will get drunk enough and sing something (thus causing everyone's ears to bleed). XD Saturday, [info]downloadable08 was nice to make John and I breakfast. Muy delicioso. John loves you, BTW. ^_^ He keeps telling me you're kick ass. *tear* He likes you better than me! Anyway, then we re-watched some of our favorite SGA episodes. Sunday I went to my parents' house and finally got my mom caught up on The Office(!) and watched The Princess Bride.

Bad Baby Names )
Speaking of baby names, [info]ozma_katiebell wrote a Remus/gen ficlet called Traveling Light. It's based on the two prompts I gave her, baby names and protection. It's a bit sad, but not necessarily in a depressing way. And as far as I am concerned, it's canon.

I think I am going to bring back TV talk, at least for today. I stopped doing it because I am just watching so many damn shows this season, and watching a lot of them late online, I just can't really keep up with it. And I am going to try something new. I am still placing the discussion under a cut, but I am going to make the text white. That way you can just highlight the text of the show you want to read about, and avoid spoilers for ones you don't. Lemme know what you think. :]
Mass Squeeage )
Damn that was some good TV last night. I must resist the urge to spoiler-y Heroes icons because season 3 has not aired in other countries yet. SO HARD! I also watched the premier of Santcuary when they re-aired it on SciFi. It's the new show with Amanda Tapping (SG-1 and SGA) as a brunette. It wasn't half bad. I'll give it a few more goes if I am around when it's on.

YAY! New House tonight! I am totally in love with the PI. So adorable. I need an icon of him! And I need to find a good Kutner one as well, have grown in love with him too. I got your package on Wednesday, [info]pann_cake! TRES AWESOME! I will send something back (a letter at the very least), but I need to buy stamps first. I don't want to go to the post office. Wah! LOL!

Okay, Project Runway last night...WTF?!?!?! Kenley should've been kicked off a long time ago. What a beeyotch. She wouldn't even join in the group hug at the end. And I can't believe she had the nerve to go around asking for tulle! Like she would ever give any of them extra material. Audrey called me last night, and we had an hour long bitch-fest about it. Kenley just pisses people off that way. I loved Jerell's dress though. He's definitely become my favorite.

Has anyone else seen Lost In Austen? I really loved it. It makes me sad to think that it won't be on BBC America for forever, and on Region 1 DVD even longer. But I would love to gush with someone. If you are an Austen purist though and were/are totally against it, please to not be killing me.

The Controversial Meme )

Yay! Heroes and Big Bang Theory tonight! And Iron Man and the Repo! The Genetic Opera soundtrack tomorrow! I probably shouldn't get these things. But I am using them as a present to myself to get me to do laundry.

And I almost forgot! Neil Diamond last Wednesday night was AMAZING!!!! My dad and I went to the food court at the Pacific Science Center before the concert, and I had pretty much the best hot dog ever. Mmmm...nice and spicy. Okay, as I was typing that out, Cartman's J.Lo voice came into my head, "Something hooot and spiceeey!" XD And the concert was so kick ass! There was this kid in front of us with his mom (way too cute - yep, going to hell; he kind of had a Michael Cera thing going on), and he was totally rocking out. XD And there was a girl a couple of seats down from us who was even more into it, so my concert dancing didn't look so bad in comparison. LOL! But yeah, Neil makes me dance. Just...when I listen to him...I just feel so happy and good on the inside (even during the sad songs, unless I am extraordinarly depressed, the sad songs make me feel sad in a good way, if that makes sense) and I don't want to judge anybody. I just want to dance and smile and sing...Damn, I am a loser. Anyway, I was afraid he wasn't going to perform my favorite song of his"Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show", but he did. It was the very last song of the night. :D And when he talked about how he was a man of God and sang a song about it, I was just like, "Neil...you ARE god!" Yep, sacreligious, but that's what Neil does to me.

Sorry this entry was so boring. :(

You captivate in so many ways that I can't relate, But I want to be your latest thing
I meant to post this entry last night during a brief pocket of time the internet was connected, but just before I hit "post", it kicked me off. The bastard.

I probably posted this last autumn, but what the hell. I'll probably post it every autumn. :P
The Autumn Test )

I am working on those two memes I mentioned in my last post. I am also working on some fanmixes (it's been far too long); and one in particular. There's just a song I reeeeaally want to include on it. But I can't find it anywhere! No one on LimeWire has it, and it's from a rare EP that is not listed on any store's website. There's one on Amazon, but it would ship from AUSTRIA! I think I am just going to look into that software that decrypts songs purchased from iTunes so you can have files on more than five computers. Any suggestions for good programs?

The internet guy comes today. So hopefully when I get home from work, we'll be connected. Or at least have a really hot, nerdy guy working on it. ;D I won't have too much time to be online though. 'Cause tonight is the Neil Diamond concert!!!!! =DDDD And like my Facebook status says, I am wearing my Neil shirt to the show. I am wearing the shirt of the act I am going to go see. I am being THAT guy. And 3 points if you can guess what movie I am referencing there. :P

Last night [info]miss_bushido called me and we had a bit of a Heroes squee. Because, this season looks awesome. Don't worry, there be no spoilers in this entry, because if I start talking about it, I will not shut up. LOL! Both Heroes and House, after having a shitty season, look really promising this year. But yes, every Tuesday night from now on will be Heroes Squee Sessions with Megan and Allee, followed by House. XD If only 90210 were on at 9 so I could watch it as airs. *le sigh* But that's one reason I need the internet, to watch other shows. XP

Heroes dominated everything Monday night, so I had to record stuff at my parents' house. But either I, or the DVR, forgot to record Boston Legal and Gossip Girl, so I need to see those. It did get True Blood (from Sunday), Big Bang Theory and HIMYM though. :) Sheldon, I missed you so much this summer. I don't know if I think True Blood is moving too slowly because it is, or because I read some of the books (major thanks to [info]gwionfawyr for that :]).

P.S. I got your postcard this morning, [info]bombshell_chic! =D Also, could you e-mail me (at least some of) those pics? I want to prove that I actually left my apartment for once, LOL! And Jane's e-mail? She gave it to me, and I think I remember, but I can't find the piece of paper and just want to be sure.

Five favorite (or most memorable) lines of dialogue )

Fred Meyer didn't have Big Bang Theory season 1 on DVD! Boo, those whores! And it didn't help that the guy working there looked at me like I was crazy when I asked about it.

My parents were nice enough to take me out to dinner Saturday night, I wanted to try non-sick food for the first time in a week. So far so good... *crosses fingers* Anyway, my mom brought up The Office! =D And she started stamping her and myself as characters, LOL! She says she's Kelly because she talks too much. I didn't have the heart to tell her she's actually more of an Angela. But she said she thought I was Pam. While I was highly complimented, I know I would probably be a love child of Ryan and Kelly (if they had one). XDDD After dinner I stayed at my parents' house for a couple of hours because Fright Night was on cable. Chris Sarandon and Roddy McDowell, I heart you.

The last episode of SGA did not have enough Rodney! Of course, I want every minute of the show to have him in it. XD But the hot chick had my name! Yay! I just hope she spelled it the RIGHT way (A-l-l-i-s-on).

Characters and Q&A )

This is sad, but I spent last night at my parents' house. I went over in the afternoon so my mom and I could go through my clothes and figure out what to keep, what to donate, and what to store. I stayed to watch Real Time with Bill Maher, and couldn't stop shivering. My mom is paranoid and took my tempurature. I had a 101 degree F fever, so she wanted me to spend the night. It was easier to just do it than fight with her. Besides, True Blood premiered last night on HBO, and this way I could watch it right away, rather than waiting for it to be put online. I really liked it. I read the first three books in the serires that it's based on. I should really finish it someday.

I've got a mind full of wicked designs, I've got a non-stop-hole in my head--imagination
Apparently I am not as independent as I once thought. I've spent the past four nights at my parents' house. But I really think I had to. I got really sick Friday night, like I couldn't stop throwing up all night. I tried to just sleep it off, but when my mom offered to come pick me up Saturday afternoon, I couldn't say no. And I am glad I did, because I would probably still feel like death if I had stayed by myself. I mean, I could hardly stand.

So that's why I was less active than usual this weekend. It wasn't because of any exciting real life, Labor Day activities. :P Just too sick and/or tired. I haven't really been online since Friday afternoon. I was a bit on Saturday morning, but I don't remember too much. There's really no way I could really go over my entire f-list and catch up on everything, so if there is anything really important/exciting/funny/sexy/etc. that I missed, if you could give me links that'd be awesome! :)

I don't know when I will be back online permanently. My laptop's at the apartment, and I don't know if I am going back tonight. I still have some stomach cramps, and don't feel ready to graduate my from my diet of saltines, white rice and gatorade. So I don't know if I will really be able to walk up three flights of stairs just yet, still a little weak. I'm just online because I wanted to come to work for a couple of hours so I won't have to stress about bills right at the end. But I don't need to decide until tonight anyway. If I go back, I'll need help carrying the blankets, pillow and stuff I brought with me.

Did anyone else watch the 90210 premier last night? I only watched it because I grew up with the original (yay '90s fashion and broody Luke Perry FTW!), and morbid curiosity. But I kinda liked it. I kinda reeeeaally liked it. I like watching pretty people, so sue me. :P And I want to know who the father of Kelly's baby is!!!!!!! But I bet I've jinxed it now. D'oh!

Okay, Stargate Atlantis on Friday. The Shrine is now one of my top 3 episodes. Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight, won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
So, one good thing about my being lazy and never putting my clothes in the hamper (just letting them pile up on my bathroom floor): when I fainted (well, almost) yesterday, I had something soft to land on. My hips hurts a little, but that's it. I haven't gotten that ill in months, and I feel better today, so don't worry. :) I don't know if I lock my knees in the shower and cut off circulation, or I need to drink more water because I'm on my period and my body's losing fluids or what. But I feel better today. Just nauseated and headache-y, but I always do this time of the month. I have to go to the eye doctor this afternoon though. Balls.

In other news, saw Mamma Mia last week...holy shit!!!! I was expecting to love it, but not that much! I could seriously watch that movie every day for the rest of my life and not get sick of it. And then I spent all weekend watching Spaced, and may have to start all over again. Totally awesome. I also went online and ordered some Jaffa Cakes. I just want to be able to say "I've got some fucking Jaffa Cakes in my coat pocket!" LOL! I also watched Otis, which if you like dark comedy/horror I highly recommend. I am working on a fanmix for it too. XD

I had a dream last week that Eddie Izzard died. :( And since I usually have CNN on in the background while I sleep, I was really afraid that the news was infiltrating my dreams and that it was true. But I hadn't woken up at 3 a.m., so it was still on Cartoon Network and not true. *phew* Although if you dream someone dies, that's supposed to mean they're getting married soon. Or maybe it's if you dream you're at their funeral... I can't quite remember.

I got to leave work an hour early, since I had to work an extra hour the past few days. Yay! So I am having a bit of a lie down before the opthamologist appointment. I wish I could call and reschedule. But they called last month to reschedule it for now, and he's only there on Mondays. Plus I think my mom would be super pissed at me.

Who saw The Soup this weekend? Best episode ever, Y/Y? Keith Olbermann AND Simon Pegg!!!!! *squeeeeeee* And they were on for quite a bit!! The fandom gods truly smiled upon us mere mortal women.

And I love to live so pleasantly, live this life of luxury, Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
Stolen (though not maliciously) from [info]bubbly :)
Hi, my name is: Allison, Allee, whatever. :P

When I’m nervous I: have an increased heart rate.

Last night I: watched the new episode of Weeds and ate some crackers.
More Under Here )

Some random thoughts: I think after I watch Stargate Atlantis, I am going to try and load Prince Caspian. I know I SHOULD see it in the theatre, but I don't think I'll get the chance. I think all my friends who wanted to see it have gone already. I've neen having major cramps for the past two weeks. My period either needs to come, or Rachel needs to stop hurting. I hate being paranoid that it's going to come way early and I'll be unprepared. */TMI*

Couple of thoughts on the new season of Weeds )

Verizon is doing a bunch of work in our neighborhood, having to dig up little patches and everything. Apparently they fucked up our driveway, so they are paying for a new one. HA HA! I may not be keeping up with my jihad on Verizon (I got 24 going on, it's difficult to keep up with all of them), but taking money out of there pockets makes me happy. Even if I have to park up the block for a few days.

The vid of the day, is from The Soup. Joel talking about Hell's Kitchen, and the promo for the new spinoff. ILU, Joel. :3

ETA: So, I saw the first hour of a show about George Washington. And now I kind of have a crush on him. XDDDD WTF is wrong with me?!?! So now I am going to have to go and buy a biography of him.

Hold me in your arms, let's let our love blind us. Cover me, shut the door and cover me.
Blergh. I hate my neighbors. They're doing some roofing, and one of the roofer's many vehicles is blocking over half of our driveway. Maybe it's just the roofers, not my neighbors. But they've blocked us in/out before, so.... I took the spot where my dad usually parks, and hopefully they'll be gone by the time he gets home, and he can take mine. *le sigh* Effing suburbs.

"Cover Me" by Bruce Springsteen was mentioned in the book I'm reading (Three Fate by Nora Roberts), and I cannot stop listening to it! So if ya see it on my Last.fm playlist a lot, that's why. And you can listen to it too! ^_^ Go H E R E for the download.

I'm sad that SNL is over for the season. This season's cast has just had amazing chemistry. Here is a clip from this past weekend when Steve Carell hosted. This is the Japanese version of The Office, introduced by Ricky Gervais (how can you not love him?!?!). And Jason Sudekis once again playing Jim. And Bill Hader as Dwight. And it's just too fabulous for words.

Yeah, I know no one is online on Fridays. But what ze hell. ^_^ I haven't posted in what feels like forever. Just kind of have had a lackadaisical attitude to stuff in general. Plus...I've been getting really into Gossip Girl. Oh shut up! I skipped The O.C., let me have this. I'm only on episode eight 'cause my computer has been extra sluggish lately, so loading is no fun. But it's worth it. Chuck/Blair FTW!!!! She's such a bitch. So effing fabulous! XD She's like a bitchier Bree. And I love that whole good girl/bad boy thing (yes it's cliche, but I don't care) that goes on with those two. And I've read the episode guide over at TVGuide*dot*com, so I have a general idea of what is going to happen, so gimme spoilers if ya want. =]

Okay, I really have to go to the bathroom, so I'll make the rest of this entry quick. I am going to see Iron Man tomorrow! Yay! And will go buy the new Neil Diamond album and will post it sometime that night or Sunday. And here is my favorite Chuck/Blair vid (that I've seen so far). Spoilers obviously.

P.S. Scrubs last night was the cutest thing I've ever seen!

P.P.S. TGIF!!!!11!!1!!!!11!!

OMG! So much TV last night!

Thursday night TV talk. Warning: I talk a lot more than usual. )

Articles of interest. EW's list of 25 Best Big-Screen Bad Girls. Call me Boo-Boo Kittyfuck, bitch! Life imitating art. Pinkberry yogurt not as healthy as claimed. Hee hee! Seinfeld FTW!

Today's vid is a clip from Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, just 'cause I am way too excited for the sequel. This is why my co-workers and I used to say "Learn to fucking make coffee, you fucking whore!" to each other when I was a barista. And why I can't listen to Heart without having a bit of a laugh.
