About damn time!
Ok, the reason I have not been active in the past few days:

Thursday night, 8:05 p.m. we lose our power. And we just got it back about an hour ago. And no, to my fellow Office watchers, I have not seen it yet (is DLing as we speak), so do not tell me anything.

I am just so relieved. I could not spend one more night on the aero-bed in front of the fire. Soooo cold, and uncomfortable with my back problem. This was the longest weekend of my life! I did read some, but I think I spent the majority of it just staring off into space. It's not like I could go anywhere, since basically the whole west side of Washington was out of power until at least Saturday. I think we may have been the last group to get power, which is bullshit. We aren't rural, so fuck that! "We keep running into broken trees..." I swear, if that was still going on, their face would run into my fist! The first two nights I was grateful that people were working around the clock to get everything going, but honestly it got to be fucking ridiculous.

Plus, my dad's birthday was yesterday, so he barbecued us steaks out on the deck. But I am sure that wasn't fun for him.

Oh man that sucks!

I remember awhile ago I used to live in this neighborhood that for some reason the power went out a lot and not just for a couple of hours but everytime it would go out it would go out for an entire weekend (for some reason it would always be a weekend lol) and it was horrible! No TV! No internet!! That's just wrong!

Glad you got your power back now though!

I was just thinking, I could not live in pioneer days. I wouldn't have even left Europe :P

lol Me either!

My aunt came down to visit from Nova Scotia last month and she just got this house that's pretty out in the boonies I guess and there's no tv reception and she can't get cable and she's apparently not there enough in her mind to warrent getting a satelite dish so she just doesn't have any tv and when she told me all this I was like I couldn't live without tv! And she laughed me and I was like no seriously, I need it! haha I'm such a dork but a self proclaim tv-addict for sure lol

That so sucks!! I'm glad you're okay though. :)

After you watch this week's office (SO SO SO GOOD by the way), check out my entry on it, which has my thoughts by minute (nearly). :D

We had no power due to a huge ice storm about two weeks ago. Ours went off on Thursday night and was luckily restored about 26 hours later on Friday late evening. With no fireplace, no generator and no form of heat besides heaps of blankets we were getting pretty cold. It took some here in MO up to 8 days to get their electricity back on...wild.

Oh wow! I guess Mother Nature just likes to remind us who's boss every so often. Glad you are warmer now :)
