What fictional character do you most identify with?

Eeep! I don't know! I can see a lot of different characters.

When I was younger, I WAS Luna Lovegood. But I've developed a bit of a mean streak. I'd love to say I was a lot like her.

Or Alice. Yes, I just made a Twilight reference, STFU. Laura says she thinks I am totally Alice (and she Rosalie), but I think she's just being nice.

And for funsies:

Although I wish I could say I've grown out of it, seeing as I am 24...Enid from Ghost World. Kind of being on the edge, and still confused, not knowing what the hell I want... Oh god, that probably sounds so trite.

And then there's Ray Smuckles for obvious reasons. I'll totally diss someone for being the type "who eats nachos for every meal of the day"; but then get defensive when someone points out that I did that on my birthday.

I would probably bring my serial killer friend to scar my nephew and his friends.

And there are some days that just call for a little extra attitude.

There are times when I feel exactly like George Costanza. A perpetual loser full of righteous indignation. Or at least indignation that he feels is righteous.

I swear to god, this is my actual voicemail. I mean, I sing "Allee" instead of "George" of course.

I can definitely see some Brian Griffin. We're both alcoholic athiests. We both can be a bit pretentious, and John is totally my Stewie. Except I don't ship us because I am not male (or a dog). XD

And another Family Guy clip, just 'cause I think it's hilarious.

Okay, the real answer is probably a tie.

Tim Bisley from Spaced. The bitter geek who knows way too much about pop culture for their own good. Tim gets fired. Sadly not imbeddable.

And Darlene Connor from Roseanne. "The longer we don't know what's going on in Darlene's head is the longer we go without sleeping in shifts." I also grew up as a tomboy, getting along with my father exceedingly well. And then all of a sudden (puberty maybe) and something kind of dark settled over me. The angst, the despair... I've grown out of it (at least a little bit, most days), but it has left one snarky individual.

I have a feeling that one day the answer to this question will be The Guy On The Couch from Half Baked. XD

The Guy on the Couch: Hey, is it January?
Thurgood Jenkins: No, it's August.
The Guy on the Couch: Really?

Okay, popsicle and then bed. I have to go in a half an hour early tomorrow. I mean, an extra half an hour. I've had to go in early all week. *thumbs down*

Awww, Luna, Alice and Darleen! I love these three!!!

They are an odd combination though. XD But odd is fun.

Enid ruled. I liked Darlene but I thought she was too smart to get pregnant that young, but then the unofficial slogan of the Roseanne show was apparently, "Birth control? What's that?"
Allee: cereallady_lyca on June 23rd, 2009 03:57 pm (UTC)
I'm just surprised (as I'm sure all the Connors were) that it wasn't Becky. :P

Becky: Darlene you just shouldn't let sex rule your life
Darlene: You know, that's the same speech mom gave me. Except you left out the part "... or you'll end up like Becky".
chocolate_frappchocolate_frapp on June 23rd, 2009 05:05 pm (UTC)
EVERY female character on that show got pregnant by accident except Becky and the lesbians.

("Becky and the lesbians" sounds like a band, doesn't it?)
Allee: waynegarthlolzlady_lyca on June 24th, 2009 03:13 pm (UTC)
Well, I think Dan and Roseanne were actually trying for Jerry. Why they were trying for another kid was beyond me though.

Haha! It totally does! A grrl punk band, or something with a lot of college radio play. My friend and I have a fake band (fake because neither of us can sing or play an instrument). I've just decided that Becky and the Lesbians will be my side project. LOL!
chocolate_frappchocolate_frapp on June 24th, 2009 03:29 pm (UTC)
hahaha! go for it!!

I am pretty much a mixture of George Costanza and Darlene Connor. With a little bit of Brian and Stewie Griffin thrown in.

George's answering machine message is like the greatest thing ever.

I knew I couldn't be the only one who thinks/knows those characters can mesh into one person. XD

luna is definitely one of my fave characters ever! ive been dying to write a luna/george fic, but alas, i am still broken. :P also, have you read "the graveyard book"? cuz lately ive been crossover-shipping luna and bod. XDDD

btw, my kids at school who like twilight say i remind them of alice. id prob like her if i ever read the books lol. *would rather stab self in eye with well sharpened pencil, but will not judge* jk...kinda. :P
Allee: alicecullenlady_lyca on June 23rd, 2009 03:54 pm (UTC)
What can I do to fix you?! I want fic! :P And Luna/Bod...that is kind of the best thing I've ever heard. XD

Alice is one of the few really interesting, worthwhile characters in the books. I was so pissed we didn't get more backstory. Fuck Edward, fuck Jacob...can I just hang out with Alice for eternity. To quote one of my favorite articles from Cracked.com, "Bella teams up with Edward's sister Alice, who turns out to be straight and taken but is still way better for her than Edward". XP
