Now it's just me and the bees, In a cyclone of falling leaves
The Internet Situation is still fuuuuucked up.

John and I have talked to three people. One guy who actually tried to help, a nice woman who was nice but couldn't help (and has two cats named Taz and Mr. Deeds), and one douche who had the nerve to tell us that this is a common occurence with wireless. That douche was yesterday. John and I totally call shenanigans. I swear John was so mad he was going to go Luigi Largo on his ass. We're gonna call back sometime today, because they have told us this isn't our fault. It was fixed for about a day and then went out again. I'm just so frustrated. I am not even that mad anymore, just tired from all this shit. Just talking about it makes me want to go to sleep.

But dammit, I have a new computer and I want to use it! The only software I've been able to re-install was iTunes.

tl;dr Cry moar, spoiled child. And fantasies about Luigi Largo visiting us and slicing people for me (is swooning over that thought wrong?).

I ordered 11 books from Amazon, 9 of them used. So hopefully those will keep me occupied. Most of them are trashy romances, so I will go through those pretty quickly though. So once I am finished, if Comcast hasn't gotten it's shit together, they had better look out! :P I haven't had the desire to read any romance other than Nora Roberts in awhile, but the other day I just got a huge urge, so I bought a ton. Most were only a penny! :)

. People who have been tagged must write their answers on their blog and replace any question that they dislike with a new, original question.
. Tag six people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.
I've always been a bit of a rule breaker. And I did this not too long ago, so my new friends haven't seen it, but the rest of you can feel free to move on.

1. Where did your LJ handle come from?
Okay, for everyone who has already heard this long ass explanation, I apologize. There is a character in the movie Hackers, who is just awesome. He has a photographic memory, so his handle was Lord Nikon. I liked the idea of having a handle like his. I of course feminized it with "lady", and I liked the alliterative touch of "Lyca" (another camera brand).

2. How do you style your hair?
I just brush it and go. I am dying to get it cut though. Something like THIS.

3. What is making you happy right now?
John telling me that people don't just keep me around because I'm the ditzy one who always gets me wrong. At least that's not why he's still friends with me.

4. What are you currently reading?
- Truly Madly Viking by someone I can't recall.
- Death by Black Hole: And Other Cosmic Quandaries by Dr. Neil Tyson

5. Do you need music to study/write?
I haven't studied or written in a long time. :(

6. What is the last song on your play list?
"Kashmir" by Led Zeppelin

7. What was your first hair dye job?
I had fire engine red streaks put in when I was 17. They looked so awesome! But my hair was too healthy or something, and even though they were expensive salon highlights, they washed out in about two weeks.

8. Do you have a crush at the moment?
Not really

9. What is your favorite movie genre?
Horror, comedy

10. What was the last thing you ate today?
Haven't had anything to eat yet.

11. What is your favorite color?
Pink, green, black

12. What websites do you visit daily?
Livejournal, Facebook

13. What's your favorite food?
pancakes

14. Which languages do you wish you spoke?
Russian, Finnish, German

15. What is your biggest pet peeve?
bad drivers

16. If you could be any fictional character for a day, who would it be?
Hmmm...Ryan Evans from HSM. XD

17. Who was your childhood idol?
I don't think I had one.

18. Where would you like your next holiday to be?
Prague

19. What is your favorite chocolate from a box of chocolates?
Something with almonds.

20. Tell me something you love about the person who tagged you.
She introduced me to Repo! =D

My parents are taking me out to dinner tonight (since my birthday is a Sunday and we all have to work early the next day). I am going to try and not eat after...let's say 3 p.m., so I can eat all my dinner AND get dessert. I think I am going to have the crab mac 'n' cheese and the s'mores. Mmmm...food.

Apparently there was an earthquake this morning. I woke up right after it happened. I don't know if that's what woke me up or not. But I had the 24/7 local news channel on in the background, so I heard about it.

After I leave work today, I may not be back online until Monday morning. If there's anything important I may miss, pretty please leave a link. :) And please join me in prayer (yes, this quasi-athiest prays to the football gods) that the Steelers lose this Sunday. Yes, I am still very butthurt about them beating us a few years ago. I still maintain those refs were paid off.

Crab mac 'n' cheese? That sounds incredibly delicious.

I know! That's the main reason I picked the restaurant I did. They have that, AND s'mores! I've never been there before, so I hope it's good. =D

But my hair was too healthy or something, and even though they were expensive salon highlights, they washed out in about two weeks.

That's why I don't go to the salon when I dye my hair anymore, not that it always faded that fast, but I can get the same result from going to walgreens and picking up a bottle of feria.

I dye my hair at home now too. If I ever do get that cut though, I'll probably have them do the color though. I don't know if i could do streaks and such. :P

I keep you around as a friend because you're fun to hang out with. And that haircut would look good on you.
I too will be cheering for the Cardinals. If the Seahawks can't be in the Superbowl, at least we got a team from our division there!

Re: From Susan
Thank you. Sorry, I was having a pity party. It's done now though. :P
