He thought he was the King of America, Where they pour Coca Cola just like vintage wine
Just posted my first fanmix in a looooong time. Too long. :P I have so many that are almost finished though. Speaking of which, I need everyone's opinion. One of the fanmixes I am working on started out as a character study (because I found this one song that made me automatically think of him) with only a handful of songs that could be considered shippy. However, now the majority of songs are shippy. I don't know what to doooooo!!! *tear*

What should I do?

Put the song on the mix anyway
2(33.3%)
Save the song for a later mix and make this one shippy
2(33.3%)
Include it, but as a bonus track

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving (or just few days if you don't celebrate). I was originally planning to only spend one night at my parents' house, but ended up staying four. XP That's why I've been kind of incommunicado lately (I didn't want to lug my laptop up and down the stairs, and my phone was going to die). Thursday night I had massive indigestion, and just wanted to curl up in my old bed (nice and queen sized and soft). Then on Friday, I had tickets for my mom and I to see Joel McHale, which means we got home late so I stayed. Joel was freaking hilarious BTW. The girls behind us were way too loud though. They weren't doing it to be annoying, I think that's how they just naturally talked and laughed. And it's a comedy show, so you can't tell people to shut the hell up. LOL! Saturday and Sunday night...I have no excuse. I was just too lazy to leave. :P

I got my mom caught up on The Office. We also watched the first season of Spaced. My mom told me she thought it was only okay. I seriously wanted to cry. But when I came back downstairs after a nap, she said the more she thought about it, the more she liked it. =DDD We're gonna watch season 2 this weekend. And see Twilight, because I still haven't seen it yet.

Yeah, I've been talking about my mom too much. Haven't I? I just have one more thing, she bought me the new Nora Roberts book! And the two prequels to it! My mom is really high up in my good book right now. XD

This is called the "alternative life meme" and basically you have to fill out the questions with fictional characters that come to your mind. Pick a different person for each answer. No repetitions!

1. The guy you would take to meet your parents::
Jim Halpert (The Office) - I do think he can be kind of a douche. But he is the nicest douche to have ever lived. And my parents would love him (and already do from watching the show).

2. The member of the opposite sex you'd kiss::
Rodney McKay (Stargate Atlantis) - I know other roles shouldn't factor in, but David Hewlett looks like he is a reeeeeaally good kisser. And he has the same ass as in other roles! And kissing can include buttcupping!

3. The guy you'd make out with in your parents bed::
Pyro (X-Men) - I really think that bad boy could talk me into anything.

4. The girl you'd take to the mall::
I gotta go with jacedesbff on this one and pick Alice Cullen (Twilight)

5. Your male BFF::
Tim Bisley (Spaced) - Neither of us have qualms when it comes to yelling at children for wanting to buy a Jar-Jar Binks doll.

6. Your female BFF::
Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) - She would understand the fact that I am more introverted doesn't mean I am completely aloof.

7. Your gay BFF::
Buddy Cole (Kids in the Hall) - He owned his own bar at one time. We'd just be huge bitches together. XD

8. The guy who'd take you to prom::
Logan Echolls (Veronica Mars) - You know you'd have fun. And he'd throw a kickass after party!

9. Your big brother::
This one was a bit harder than I thought. I am going to have to go with Ronon Dex (Stargate Atlantis). He would be protective without being a prat about it, and a sibling you could be close to.

10. The guy you'd marry::
Neville Longbottom (Harry Potter) - No question.

11. What? There was a #11?

12. And a #12?

13. The guy or girl you'd go clubbing with::
Barney Stinson (How I Met Your Mother) - We would totally be each other's wing man (or woman).

Your rainbow is shaded blue and black.

What is says about you: You are a tranquil person. You appreciate mystery. You share hobbies with friends and like trying to fit into their routines. You may meet people who are afraid of you.

That last bit is certainly true!

THAT MEME IS AWESOME. What happened to 11 and 12?? I'm confused, lol. MUST STEAL IT. :DD

Regarding the song/fanmix dilemma: I voted to keep it in. Even if it's a shippy mix, ships are still about those two people, so I think it's ok to leave it in. Unless leaving it out means you make another fanmix, in which case...I retract my last statement. :P

I know, I was too. Maybe we should just make up questions to 11 and 12. XD

I would love to make a second mix, but I am just having a hard time finding other songs that would fit the character individually. But I know when I finish this one (and include the track), every song I hear would be perfect. XD

Hmm...I think one of those girls came back the next night with her boyfriend to teach him how to laugh loud and that they sat behind us. But yes, it was hilarious. And sad...WA football's combined record of 4-31. And UW only contributed to the number right of the hyphen.
I liked the idea he presented (when talking about the actress who would only entertain questions about bowling) about interviewing Niel Armstrong and not being able to ask about the moon landing.
